S-2 2D Art/ Super Skill Development

Service Description

Please provide a simple sketch journal for this class, as well as a 9x12 heavy-weight mixed medium art tablet and comfortable writing instruments and erasers. Throughout the semester your artist may bring supplies they would like, to have further use of them at home when class is complete. When we think of art, what is the first thing that pops into our minds? Drawing? Painting? It sure is! In this class your child will spend their time honing and refining the fundamental realistic 2D skills that we all love through drawing, using pencil and ink and learning shading techniques for both of them, embracing the color wheel while we hone our acrylic painting skills and learning about different printmaking techniques. In each of our art classes, we create a respectful and caring space while we learn about the elements of art and principles of design, we use artistic language and learn about proper supply usage and how to take care of our creative space. 15 Weeks. Spring Break and Mid-Winter Breaks are TBD at this time
