After-School Art Classes in Grand Rapids, MI
Grades 1-4 & 5-6

We are thrilled to bring another year of creative learning, exploration, friendship, and fun to the art studio. 

All of our art classes in Grand Rapids, MI are based on fine art teaching, incorporating artistic vocabulary, principles and elements, and studio materials in each lesson, and are presented with a gentle approach so that your child enjoys learning and feels confident in their progress of creating art.

While our lessons include historical pieces of art, we pay special attention to contemporary and living artists so that your student can better visualize themselves in todays art world. 

We ask that your child brings enthusiasm for art and desire to learn to each class so that they get the most out of their time in the studio.
All materials and supplies are furnished by the studio.

Grades 1-4

Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00: Color Theme.  During each month we will be looking at and learning about 2-3 well-known artworks that use that month's color, and recreate pieces using multiple mediums and our style. 
Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30: Specific Artistic Skills. Each month we will enhance our understanding of our monthly theme and using a variety of mediums, create 2-3 amazing works of art that that your child will be proud of.

 

Grades 5-6 

Thursdays from 4:30-5:30: Art Style Theme. Each month we learn about and examine a 2-3 different well-known piece of art that encompass our monthly theme, and using multiple mediums, recreate pieces using our own style.
