S-1 Illustration - Visual Storytelling

  • 285 US dollars

Service Description

We ask that your child bring a simple sketch pad to this class as well as a 9x12 Mixed Medium Heavy Weight Spiral Bound Art Pad, and a few comfortable pencils and erasers. Illustration...what's that?! An illustration is a visual representation of the world around us that aims to communicate ideas clearly and creatively. An illustration can also be a picture or diagram that helps make something clear or attractive. It can help represent an idea or story that might otherwise be unclear. Illustrations can be decorative, interpretive, conceptual, contain text...or be text-free. We see illustration in text, print, posters, flyers, gracing the covers of everything, in books, teaching materials, graphic novels, children's books, and magazines...it's everywhere! In this course, your student will learn about a wide variety of different styles that are popular and learn to develop their unique style as well. We will cover the fundamental principles of visual storytelling to enable you to master the art of making your work come to life. In each of our art classes, we create a respectful and caring space while we learn about the elements of art and principles of design, we use artistic language and learn about proper supply usage and how to take care of our creative space. 15 Weeks. No Classes the week of November 25-29
