Service Description

We ask that your child bring a simple sketch pad to this class as well as a 9x12 Mixed Medium Heavy Weight Spiral Bound Art Pad, and a few comfortable pencils and erasers. Art and Psychology share a strong connection as they explore how various artistic elements and compositions impact the emotions of both the creator and the observer. The field of art psychology delves into the cognitive and emotional reactions triggered by viewing, touching, and interacting with objects such as paintings, sculptures, textiles, and other forms of art. Throughout this course, students will delve into the psychological aspects of art creation. They will work with a range of mediums to produce pieces that evoke specific emotions by utilizing color, texture, technique, and purpose. In each of our art classes, we create a respectful and caring space while we learn about the elements of art and principles of design, we use artistic language and learn about proper supply usage and how to take care of our creative space. 15 Weeks.
